So another couple of character journals magically materialized because apparently the muse storage space in my brain is like Pandora's Box. I let Khan out and now everyone wants attention.

Which isn't a bad thing. Just inconvenient because I have work stuff that's sort of a priority right now.

So instead, I will just try to keep the feverish designing of character journals and a whole new Discord server to my off-hours.

Anyway, if you're looking for a Star Trek PSL/GPSL just let me know! I have a nice little collection of muses looking for other muses to interact with.

I have spent a lot of time and effort (when I could be doing other things, like working) making character journals for the loudest of the muses. I'm sure some of the more patient ones will make themselves known soon enough. It's actually really soothing and I'm enjoying being creative and getting the little details just right. I think I'll be writing some five-question interviews with each of them soon just so each journal has a couple of different writing samples. So yeah, if you're curious, go hit up my character directory.

O hai thar!

You may wonder who the heck this is, in light of icon changes and journal remodeling. I'm Manic. I'm a Fandom Old Person trying to do better about curating my online experience. Right now, Star Trek is my (mal)adaptive coping mechanism for All The Stress! It was my fandom before I knew what fandom was, and while I've traveled from fandom to fandom over the years, Trek will always be my first love.

The stickies have a contact post and a character directory, for those who are interested. I generally play on Discord but I'm pretty flexible, having come from LiveJournal when LiveJournal was new. Then it was InsaneJournal. Then it was Dreamwidth. Then it was Tumblr. Now it's Dreamwidth again because I like the community here!

So yeah.

That's me.

Call me, maybe!

Crawling back onto Dreamwidth after an extended absence. Missing my fandom friends. I've been working hard at the job, nearly through my bankruptcy petition, and trying to figure out how to pay for vet bills and car maintenance at the same time.

But tell me how your lives are! Tell me what your muses are up to! Jim is restless. Chris is also restless but quieter about it.

Monday - Monday. Need I say more?
Tuesday - Migraine. Emergency sick day.
Wednesday - Recovering from migraine, trying to work but only at about 50% productivity.
Thursday - Morning doctor appointment turns into unplanned full day off work due to me "powering through" like an idiot, ignoring symptoms, and nearly getting to the point of having another pissing-blood-level kidney infection. Oral and IM antibiotics prescribed.
Friday - Faculty Getting Offended Free-For-All while I'm trying to be at work, unclutter my inbox, shore up my calendars for the next week, and generally try to survive. You can bet I set replies to be sent out at 4:49pm on a Friday afternoon. That ish can wait till Monday.

Weekend outlook:
Saturday - Resting, cleaning, hanging out with coveners for a couple hours, more cleaning.
Sunday - Laundry, dishes, cleaning, and getting ready for Thursday's handfasting.

Meltdown forecast:
Sunny skies and a 20% chance of random shit sending me into a crying jag.

I started on LJ when LJ was new. Then it was IJ. Then (briefly) it was DW. Then it was nothing. Then it was Tumblr. Now I'm back to DW after deciding I don't want what Tumblr is selling. So my Tumblr will probably be going away, at least as an active sharing platform, and I'll happily port all of my favorite picspam here. All text and no pics makes a journal a dull space, in digital life as in analog life. I've definitely decided that I'm upgrading to a premium account when next I get paid. Gotta have me some icons and media space! And the world could always use more wisdom from Leonard Nimoy.

So yeah, trying this journal thing again. We'll see where the adventure leads!
